Backyard Concrete Patio with Curb Poured and Finished

Most backyard patios we pour start the same way - bare dirt, gravel base, and a plan. The prep work is where the whole job gets decided. Get the forms wrong and you're dealing with headaches later. Get them right, and the pour practically takes care of itself.

Here's what we were working with: a full wood form setup with proper bracing all the way around, a compacted gravel base underneath, and a curb detail built into the perimeter.
